Club’s Display at the Banbury Run.
There has been a BMRCO display at the VMCC’s Banbury Run for a number years, it becoming a regular fixture in the club’s calendar. This year we were positioned in the car park behind the bike assembly area ( a space previously grass but now hard standing) along with Bonhams and a number of other clubs. At total of seven machines on display including two Norton’s, a Rickman Interceptor, a BSA, a Triumph, a Wall Auto Wheel and one guest machine.
In comparison with other years the numbers were a little down, just a few under the 500 limit for entries, but none the less there were some interesting machines to be seen. It was a trend that seemed to be followed by the Auto-Jumble with a number of well known dealers missing, why this should be is debatable, rising costs, clash of dates, who knows.
However for the members ( both with or without bikes) it was an enjoyable day, there being plenty of opportunities to walk round and see the “sights”. Also the weather held up for the day with every body getting home before the rain set for the evening.
