A sufficient number of members have indicated that they intend to take part in the (Inaugural) BMRCO Summer Ride and Social for it to go ahead.
My plan for the day is as follows, assuming it is not wet. If it is wet I will still ride, as I rode in the wet when I was a yoof.
Meet at the Red Lion for 12.00 am on Saturday August 8th, ride to the Steam Railway at Toddington (distance 35 miles approx 1 1/4 hours)
Depart Toddington at 15.00 hrs after enjoying tea and cake and return to The Red Lion, arriving 16.15 or so.
Enjoy a bbq and side dishes plus beverages into the evening……
During the early evening Jacqui (Spicer) and her band will entertain us with some of her own songs and some covers.
There will be an opportunity for anyone to entertain the assembled, however they might wish to remember there may be children present.
It is hoped that families and friends can join us at The Red Lion to enjoy the party, the more the merrier.
It is of course perfectly permissible to enjoy the ride only or the BBQ only, yer choice.
Also you are welcome to invite other Brit bike owners along to enjoy the day and show what a jolly bunch of chaps we are.
Barry Whitehead has kindly agreed to assist with ride planning and also to lead a group should we have a lot of riders wishing to take part.
Do please support this event, I have organised it because you have asked for it…if it is well supported and successful then I will do it again for next year, if not…
Any questions please email me or seek me out at the Red Lion on the forthcoming Mondays.
