“On Sunday March 2nd a total of 10 bikes (plus 1 van and 1 car) made the run to the Porsche Club HQ at Moreton in Marsh in dry but cold weather.
We received our usual very warm welcome from the Porsche club and courtesy of Geoff and his wife were treated to some very welcome food and hot coffee.
A number of us managed to persuade our better halves to join us and we had one lady guest rider take part in the run. Nice to add a little glamour to the event.
A total of 3 guest riders joined up and thoroughly enjoyed the run and the hospitality. Peter and Roy met us in Moreton having made their separate way.
Also great to see previous member Graham ? turn up on his Vincent twin, he enjoyed the ride and I hope he will rejoin the club.
Most of us made the return journey in deteriorating weathe but the waterproofing of our kit was not tested to the extent of that of Geoff who had a really wet trip back after doing all the washing up.
My “Rider of the day” award goes to Garnet who rode his 250cc Sun (bought new by him way back when). I rather think that it was on full throttle most of the way, particularly on the return run over the Cotswold hills.
Once again this ride appears to be the most popular of the year with some 25 members/guests taking part.
Great having Phil/Malcolm/Gareth bringing up the rear in the back up van”
