Motorcycle and Internal Combustion Rally – Leighton Buzzard Light Railway Sunday September 29th

It has been brought to my attention that the good folk out at Leighton Buzzard Light Railway have an annual shindig on Sunday September 29th that is well worth the trouble of visiting and apparently if you turn up on a motorcycle you get free entry.

To add to the spectacle they fire up their historic collection of petrol and diesel locomotives – can anyone have any more fun than this…..?

Train rides, shed tours, cafe, music, lots of bikes, Diesel, Petrol and steam locomotives. for more info.

If someone would like to lead a run to this event let me know and I can post the details to our subscribing members. Regrettably I will not be able to attend.

The postcode for this event is LU7 4TN (like any of our bikes have satnav)

Event report –  Club Chairman (John Lay)

“At least two members made it to the Sand & Motorcycle event run by the Leighton Buzzard Railway in the field next to their station at Pages Park. This was an any bike event with free entry. On entering the site notices directed modern bikes to the left and old ones to the right ; also a number of local bike clubs had set up their stands. The station cafe was open, a rock band played in the afternoon, plus for any who registered their bike, reduced price train rides. All though quite cool, the rain stayed away and later in the afternoon the sun shone , all in all a nice day  out.
Just to round off the day I won the Bike of the Show award for my BSA B29 250cc – can be bad”.
