Having attended this gathering a month ago I can vouch that it is a worthwhile event with many classic bikes and cars to view. It is thus my intention to ride there again this coming Thursday and enjoy the convivial company and probably purchase a homemade burger and a pint of shandy. Anyone wishing to join me please contact me on 01993 881464 (email firstname.lastname@example.org).
I will leave Freeland Industrial Estate at 19.00 hrs prompt. I will ride the Commando and as usual and get a wriggle on. If you wish to ride slowly then we can meet as one group, leave as 2 groups and meet up again at Kineton. The distance to Kineton is 45 miles so is well worthwhile.
Don’t forget the evenings will soon start to draw in and the evening ride opportunities reduce.
3 members and one non member made the journey to Kineton and once again found those at the gathering to be very friendly and the burgers quite acceptable. A really interesting aspect to this particular meet is the variety of classic cars present. There were a couple of fully restored Jags (XK140), an early and strange Lamborghini, an imported road legal hotrod and a single cylinder tractor that in my opinion was the star of the show.
The return journey was pleasantly free of cars and the views over the Cotswold hill with a setting sun were glorious.
