Ride-out to The Norman Knight at Whichford – Classic Cars and Motorcycle meeting Thursday May 16th

Every third Thursday of the month during the summer there is an informal gathering of classic car and motorcycle enthusiasts on the village green at Whichford (nr Long Compton) at “The Norman Knight” public house. This gathering has been recommended to me by a couple of our members as worthwhile visiting.

I intend to take a ride out to this “event” and enjoy the evening (provided it is not raining), anybody who wishes to come along with me is most welcome.

Knowing how crowded these gatherings can get I intend to get there early. It is thus my suggestion to meet in Freeland at the industrial estate with the intention of leaving at 18.30. There should be a BBQ on site so we can always fire down a burger or 2.

I intend to take the Model 50 out for this jaunt and I will ride it at the speed limit as always so be prepared….the route is pretty straightforward but speeds of 50 mph will be reached.

Do let me know if you intend to join me via email or phone.

Ride report – Rod and I thudded our way across the Cotswolds (on our Nortons) to reach the venue and thoroughly enjoyed the gathering.
