The run was led by Graham and the catering/hospitality was organised by Geoff – combined report below.

The inaugural run of 2013 consisted of 9 bikes (4 British and 5 non British) and after a welcome cup of coffee at The Red Lion (thanks Jan) made their way through various West Oxford villages to the Porsche Club HQ in Moreton in Marsh.

John Lay provided back up transport, which was thankfully not required.

Members arrived at 11.00 am by which time the baked potatoes were in the oven and the bacon was ready for the pan. Clothing and helmets were stored in the boardroom for safety.

We were warmly received by the Porsche folk and provided with yet another cup of coffee together with baked potato, bacon and cheese (eat your heart out MacD). We do like our food and on a chilly morn it does go down well.

One new member and his partner (Mark Howard/Carol Broadbent) joined us for this trip as well as non-members Gary, Barry, Peter and Paul (sound a bit like a rock group)

Other club members were Garnet (Manx), Les (AJS), Ken (Moto Guzzi) and Graham (Norton M50) as well as Geoff who rode his Blucati. Ken kindly picked up Rod from Combe in his Renault Espace “Black Shadow and after taking some photos along the way joined us at MIM drove his

Everybody enjoyed the trip and look forward to the next outing, we are after all a Rider’s Club and not a polishing club.
