I would like to thank all the club members and invited guests/partners who supported our small event in Freeland on Monday June 4th by bringing along their machines. In all there were 25 motorcycles and 15 cars on display with 18 motorcycles and 14 cars taking part in a parade through the village.
The parade was met with lots of cheering and flag waving by the villagers, young and old, which heartened me no end. It has to be said that the village is still buzzing from the event (not much happens here usually) and everyone is very very appreciative of those that contributed. Everyone thought the variety and condition of the bikes to be amazing.
Because of the varied and interesting Fun Day that was created, the turnout was very good (more than 600 people) and we have hopefully raised approximately £ 3000 towards the Community Recreation Facility that is to be built adjacent to the Hall.
On another note, this sort of “show” does motorcycling no end of good.
Once again many many thanks for supporting me by turning up.
